Patagonia Films recently released a 43 minute YouTube video that updates the work of Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship in its vision for the future of the Lost Sierra in the age of climate change. This film offers an excellent historical lens on fire (mis)management in the region, as well as a plan for the future. The personal stories woven through remind us that when it comes to mountain biking, we are talking about us, the humans, and our relationships with each other and the land.
HUGE thank you to Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship, as (in part) a mountain biking organization that thinks forward with regard to climate change, thinking of the next generation (obviously seen in the film) of mountain bikers and working to build community in northern California.
And …
Surly dropped their Moonlander! Do you need another bike?! I enjoy my Pugsley here in the desert during winter, as well as that “shoulder” season when the snow falls in the mountains. FFF fatties fit fine!

I was going to say, good luck with the price. Then I noticed the pinion gearbox.
Maybe slightly more on line, but sheesh. The state of the industry these days....
I ride everywhere except pavement on my Surly Ice Cream Truck, but now I wish I had 4 grand to burn. I was thinking a full sus fattie Foes Mutz, but this beast won't need squish. Only thing I don't like is the color, even if it does look like the Lunar Lander.
