Tomorrow, October 1, 2022, is Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day. What’s been great over the years, is seeing what seems like more and more kids on the trail. Less screen time and more nature time is a winner, for sure.
I don’t know about you, but when I’m out there pedaling across the land, it makes me feel like a kid again, especially when my wheels are off the ground. Turning high and bending low into the berm, puts a smile on my face. Snow biking is pure kid-dom riding, no doubt.
Sitting outside and eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
The wonder of what’s around the corner when on a new trail.
Losing my mind and finding it, living in the present tense.
The sun’s still up, so I can stay out longer, right?
Night riding, anyone?
Whether you’re mountain biking with a kid tomorrow, or out there riding and feeling like a kid, or maybe stuck doing yard work and wishing you were on a ride and with less responsibilities, like when you were a kid, push the pause button and let youthfulness be your guide.
I love night riding! Little to no traffic and you see things that you wouldn’t normally see during the day, such as drones spraying crops. The kid in me thinks the drone is an UFO. 😁
