As some of you know, for the past three years there have been opportunities for paid Paseando MTB subscribers to cash in on discounts/offers from various MTB businesses and indie breweries. To be clear, these are made available to you and I receive zero compensation from the businesses. I have no sponsorships.
Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be posting Q&A with each of the businesses. With each Q&A will be the details on how to get the discounts. Again, it is the business owners who are offering you the discounts.
Who are they and what are they offering?
Burning Beard Brewing in El Cajon, CA: 10% off merchandise and beer.
https://burningbeardbrewing.com/
Julian Beer Company in Julian, CA: Free slice of pizza when you buy a beer.
Fat Bat Brewing Company in Hanover, PA: 10% off your total bill.
https://www.fatbatbrewing.com/
Purple Lizard Maps: 10% off maps, socks, etc., online purchase.
Rim Tours based in Moab, UT: 10% off 2024 Colorado trips.
Endless Bike Company in Western NC: 20% off chain rings, cogs, etc., online order.
Yucca Fins in Costa Mesa, CA: 10% off a swim fins purchase.
More are still in the works and will be announced throughout 2024.
To get the discounts, you need to have a paid subscription. Reality is, there are lot of free Paseando MTB subscribers and this newsletter goes to email accounts where readers can forward emails. The business owners are part of the Paseando MTB community and do need to put some kind of limitation on the discount. These are small, independent businesses that run at tight margins and can’t risk the possibility of discount codes being shared widely. So, the discounts are for paid subscribers. We need to respect the business-owners wishes.
For $10.20, you can access all of the discounts. If you were to purchase something, you very likely will save $10.20 through the discount(s). Basically, there has to be a cut off of some kind and $10.20 is the absolute lowest that this platform/Substack allows for paid subscriptions. To get it, use this link:

You’ll then be able to view the details for accessing the discounts when I post them. Maybe click on the websites/links above and look around at what they have to offer. As we know, money spent in local economies stays in local economies far longer than when we purchase elsewhere.
If there are businesses that you’d like to see added to the list, let me know and I’ll reach out to them. Keep it local.
Cheers, everyone and enjoy the weekend!
