Back in 2015, a group of us made a pilgrimage to the Lost Sierra. Riding the Downieville Classic route, in and around the Lakes Basin and up/down Mt. Elwell in one big day, and then the Mills Peak downhill, all combined to provide us a few days of experiencing mountain biking joy.
While there, I learned of the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship and bought a t-shirt. Since then, I’ve been following along in their efforts/programs. What is here below is filled with so much goodness on so many levels. More than anything, though, for me, is that they are building community.
